Al Fighèr di Coppe Federica
Farm
The Al Figher farm brings a new type of cultivation, the blueberry, to Segusino together with the production of dandelion, cherry, chestnut and wildflower honey.
On the 1,000 square meters of land, 200 blueberry plants are cultivated, between late and early-season, while honey is produced by 14 hives of hybrid bees – a cross between Ligustica and Carnica.
Federica, who owns the farm, decided to set up her own company in March 2021, taking advantage of the opportunity of having her father, who has many years of experience in farming and beekeeping, at her side. Surrounded by vineyards, Azienda Agricola Al Fighèr was born with the idea of offering natural products at zero kilometers.
Attention to the environment is at the base of the project, which sees the use of plastic free packaging and has the goal of raising awareness about the importance of bees for our planet.
“I’ve always wanted to create my own work reality that would give me satisfaction and fulfillment, and in a dark period like the year 2020, I built up the courage and dived into this adventure.”
The name “Al Fighèr ” (in dialect fig tree) comes from the family property where there were once many fig trees.
